Marvin gained set experience on feature films and pre-primetime crime shows from 2008 onwards, working his way up from camera trainee to video operator to second and first AC. After earning a BA in Cultural Studies, he graduated from the Kaskeline Film Academy in Berlin with his short film »The Treatment«, which screened in competition at over 80 international festivals and collected numerous awards and nominations. He sold tickets at the box office of the Zoopalast in Berlin and in return was able to intensively enjoy the local film festival for years. He worked as first AD on various student films, mostly in Ludwigsburg, and as a location manager for completely interchangeable commercials before taking up his studies of Serial Storytelling at ifs internationale filmschule köln.
