Stefano Engelbrecht is a Game Designer and 3D Artist born in Brazil in 1991. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Univali, University of Brazil in Game Design and Digital Entertainment. After graduating, he has worked for over 10 years in the game, AR, VR industry and commercials. In this time he worked on very diverse projects ranging from Roller Coaster VR simulators, mobile games, Arcade Games, NFT games, education projects, architecture visualization, computer games, animations ''Rilix Coaster, Cryptopolis, McDonalds commercials, Game Of Thrones game, Insight Heart Anima RES, Nurogames, Auras Studios, Andamiro«. After many years in the industry working as a 3D Artist Stefano decided to take a step ahead and do a Master’s in this field.
Stefano is fascinated by games, films, music and technology in general, he still collects video games. Stefano loves to play and to create games. This Masters is an opportunity for Stefano to grow as a professional and as a researcher. Stefano saw the potential of using techniques used in the AAA industry to the education field and to give teachers more tools to teach their subject in a more immersive and fun way using interactive technology. Stefano wants to contribute even more to this industry that has a lot yet to grow and to innovate.
