MANUEL LIEBSCHER was born in eastern Belgium. After an apprenticeship as a media designer, he studied drawing, animation and dramaturgy at the Institut Supérieur des Arts St.-Luc in Liège. He worked for film production companies in Cologne, Munich and Berlin for several years, after which he realised his first short film and discovered his passion for directing. After returning to Belgium, he was a videographer, photographer and video editor for an audiovisual company for 9 years. Studied Directing at ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln from 2019 until 2023. He is married and lives with his wife and child in Eupen, Belgium.
